TURBOTANK
USE
The Turbotank is a patented, thermoconditioned, automatic pump-over system ideal for large fermenters. Designed to handle large masses of must, it is perfect for cryomaceration, bâtonnage, malolactic fermentation and cold clarification. It can be applied to new or existing stainless steel or concrete tanks, ensuring uniform temperature conditioning during repassing.
FEATURES
Turbotank consists of a stainless steel turbine, inserted vertically in the centre of the winemaker, exploiting the principle of communicating vessels. During the active phase, it sucks in the must from the bottom of the tank and sends it over the grape marc cap, resulting in rapid flooding. The turbine is equipped with a cavity for cooling the must and can inject oxygen during repassing. In the passive phase, it acts as a vent stack to remove heat and carbon dioxide, avoiding overpressure. Turbotank is supplied with Cleanfix washing system and can also be used as a mixer to prepare wine masses for bottling.
BENEFITS
Turbotank offers numerous advantages, including the ability to condition large masses of must and wine, improve fermentation control, reduce fermentation times and ensure excellent pomace cap management without producing lees. Its versatility makes it ideal for various oenological applications, improving the efficiency and quality of the wine produced.
Turbotank is ideal for large wineries that need an efficient and versatile pump-over system. It can be used for cryomaceration, bâtonnage, malolactic fermentation and cold clarification, always guaranteeing optimal thermal conditioning. Its ability to handle large masses of must and wine, together with the possibility of integrating an automatic washing system and an oxygenation system, makes it an essential tool for the production of high quality wines.
