USE

The Ovaltank is a tank designed for bâtonnage with natural recirculation of the noble lees in the wine. Its oval shape favours the natural recirculation of the lees during wine maturation, improving the quality of the final product.

CHARACTERISTICS

The Ovaltank is ideal for natural and continuous bâtonnage and fermentation of musts at controlled temperatures. The oval shape and very rounded bottom create a natural movement of the wine, which descends along the walls, collects the yeast at the bottom and rises to the centre of the tank. This constant movement keeps the noble lees in circulation, contributing to the maturation of the wine over a period of 5-6 months.

Made of AISI 304L stainless steel, the Ovaltank includes a very domed 'D' type bottom with full central drain, a truncated cone cylinder and three or four 500 mm high stainless steel feet. It is equipped with a top manhole cover with flag-opening lid and PVC vent, a round door of various sizes, total and partial drain threads, and stainless steel sampling.
